Painted Chair for the RSO Auction

I was asked to paint this chair, along with a bunch of other cool artists, to raise money for the Reading Symphony Orchestra in Reading, PA. It was a fun experience and kind of makes me want to paint more furniture!

The auction date has yet to be announced (or at least I don't yet know it!) but when I know, I'll post the date. Anyone can bid!

Day 7 of 29 Faces in May

Well here is a quick sketch for 29 Faces in May - one face a day (hopefully). You can purchase it
HERE
on etsy. Thanks for looking!

Day 6 on 29 Faces in May

Right now I'm working on many things so i don't get to work as much as i'd like on this but here's how far I've gotten on the portrait - I'm thinking smoke or clouds will be in the background and she will have on some kind of futuristic military garb...

29 Faces in May - Face 1

Well, I'm trying this again - I think I got about 10 faces in February done when this was started, but that's 10 more than I would have done!

This one is a WIP - not sure which direction it's going to go...we'll see as i paint i guess!

Art for Spring - on an old child's ironing board!

Well, I'm ready for Spring! And it is 7o degrees here today - so why not a springy painting? This is painted with Golden acrylic paints and collaged with scrapbook paper and then sealed. It was the cutest little kid's ironing board but it begged to be painted on. Here are some pics, with close-ups - thanks for looking!

Music in the Air

I did this painting for a show called The Art of Jazz which is happening right now at the Goggleworks in Reading, PA. It was a lot of fun to do since there is collage as well as silver leaf and acrylic paint happening here. The collaged paper in her hair is sheet music - some of which is called Caravan by Duke Ellington. It's 24x24 on wraparound canvas - i'm very happy with it and it was a fun experience to paint! Thanks for looking!

(sorry for the low quality photo - this looks way better in person!)

(also sorry for the double post - some days i think i'm just going a little bit crazy!)

Just for fun: the sheet music in her hair is called "Caravan" by Duke Ellington
