Music in the Air

I did this painting for a show called The Art of Jazz which is happening right now at the Goggleworks in Reading, PA. It was a lot of fun to do since there is collage as well as silver leaf and acrylic paint happening here. The collaged paper in her hair is sheet music - some of which is called Caravan by Duke Ellington. It's 24x24 on wraparound canvas - i'm very happy with it and it was a fun experience to paint! Face 26 - Day 26

I have been negligent all month - i had every intention of drawing a face a day for 29 days but don't even think i got to 10! oh well, this face is in a painting i'm working on right now that must be done by tomorrow - hopefully with a lot of day light i'll get it done...thanks for looking!
