Music in the Air

Finished! I'm submitting this today for a show called "Art of Jazz" sponsored by the Berks Arts Council at the Goggleworks in Reading, PA - wish me luck!

Just for fun: the sheet music in her hair is called "Caravan" by Duke Ellington

Adrienne, I love your painting. "Caravan" is my favorite Duke Ellington song.

On another note, I had the students in my art appreciation course visit your blog to view your artwork. They enjoyed looking at your artwork and noticed how you're inspired by a variety of different artists, such as Gustav Klimt and Alphonse Mucha.

Adrienne, I'm curious to know if you used silver paint for the flower design in the background. The top, left-hand corner looks a bit like shiny silver.

I used silver leaf on all the background flowers - it's hard to tell because the lighting isn't that great in the photo
