50-Word Poems - My first attempt

There are a lot of blogs of 50-word stories. I heart these so badly, but i'm going to try 50-word poems instead - poems are what i lean towards anyway. Would you like to try this? It might be fun to start a 50-word poem blog...if you're interested, let me know! This is my first attempt, just for fun!!

There are no vampire love letters

Inside his book is the

frail flower,

petals sheer from

hundreds of quiet years.

thrown to him

before her deathlessness.

Now sent back in a blank letter,

it rests in her

delicate hands.

She breathes deeply and,

with heavy heart

understands the message.

"you have left me.

All is lost."

Immortal Alice - (Early for Illustration Friday)

ok. this is probably more like "too late" than it is "early" since Alice seems to have been bitten by the vampire rabbit or someone equally undead-like...sigh...i will soon get out of this vampire mode i SWEAR!!

i've been writing a whole lot lately (did i mention that's killing me?!!) so i haven't been able to post on IF as much as i'd like but thought this fit the IF word just a teensy bit...

Painted Pumpkin for the Fair

Every year at this time my house is full of piles of drawings and artwork by my little ones, getting ready for the Art Show/Contest at the Oley Fair! I decided to paint a pumpkin this year, because i had nothing else i had to do (HAHA) and came up with this vampire pumpkin...i enter it on Monday and should hear by Wednesday if it wins any prizes...it's a very cute fair and lots of people enter work and it's a good opportunity for artists and hobbyiest alike....

UPDATE: she got a ribbon!
