Portrait

This is a portrait i did for a man to give to his wife for her birthday. Funny part was when i saw the photos i realized she was someone i went to school with! This made me nervous of course because i worried if she would like it or not...i must have painted the one arm like 27,000 times...

That's really funny about knowing the woman you were making a portrait of. I get kindof nervous having students who are the children of old classmates of mine--what if they tell their parents I'm a bad teacher, or something?

I really like this--great shape of her face--with those high cheekbones. I'm sure she's going to love this. It's lovely. I also really like the tree in the background.
