Illustration Friday - FLAWED

When i saw IF's word of the week was "flawed" my first thought was of Frida. Her body was flawed from a horrible accident which caused her pain her entire life. She was unable to have a child which devastated her, and her marriage was a terribly flawed wreck. And yet in spite of all that, she really was "all that".

This is great Adrienne! I have heard you talk about Frida, but I never realized she was a real person...cool!

Great take on the theme, I love her work and the story of her life is amazing. Great illustration!

I like this, it makes her seem more real, and less iconic, if you know what I mean.

You have done a much more lovely portrait of her than the ones she did of herself. Quite a remarkable woman. I had the privelige of seeing some of her pieces in person once--very powerful.

I never really knew anything about her until I saw the movie Frida. What an amazing woman she was!
