Skelly Diva! Painting on a canvas tote

This was fun...am going to try to do more on these totes...

This is really fantastic. What whimsy! You will be styling, taking your groceries home in this bag. What kind of paint did you use?

Michelle i used regular golden acrylic and ceramicoat (delta?) paints...

Hi Adrienne - Just curious, did you have to use some kind of additive to make the paint permanent on fabric?

I want a spike tote!!!

i didn't...i tried picking at it and also put water on it and it's staying pretty good...i'm thinking it's just like painting on unstretched canvas right? i didn't put gesso down either although my friend who also painted on a canvas tote did. I just put a big black square/rectangle with the black acrylic paint (Delta Ceramacoat) and painted on that like i do for my paintings. The canvas is very absorbent so i had to layer the paint a little - a little more work but i like the result!
