Illustration Friday - Poise - Queen of Clubs
Here's my third queen for an imaginary card deck - i was kind of stuck on what to do with clubs...and then my mind wandered and i pictured how clubs look like clover and then i was picturing rolling Irish hills with a redheaded queen with green eyes and all of a sudden i had some sort of gaelic queen...and i'm not even sure if there ever was a gaelic queen of any kind but hey, it's make believe...
Anyway, for Illustration Friday this week the word is Poise and i think she definitely looks poised for something...

She's a beauty! (I have to tell you I did a doubletake...at first I read garlic queen - I just got back from a Tastefully Simple party. But hey, a garlic queen could be cool too.)
a garlic queen could be an anti-vampire queen...hmmmmm
she is beautiful. i just love the tenderness of her eyes
love the detailing oof the hair and her expression. beautiful!
Your work is beautiful. Love the details and colours.
She is definately poised for something. Great work. Love the detail! Especially the hair. Nice!
...and if there was ..I'm sure she would've been happy to look like your lovely lady!
Really great work. I really like your line work. You have a great composition too.
i love this piece. she is beautiful.
Lovely! And the Queen of Clubs is definitely closer to nature than the queen of spades--clover and green seem just right.
She's so fitting for a queen and for poise. Wonderful linework and composition.
You know I love your work! It is so beautiful and if I could do what you do with line work...well, let's just safely say, I can't! lol! Fabulous, m'dear, just fabulous!
She is very beautiful. But the way the hair cuts off at such a dramatic angle, it looks like her head is floating away from her body.
Fabulous line & color - great piece
that is just lovely. Great idea for incorporating the clubs... Thanks for your nice comments on my blog - it's so nice to meet you!
