Humane Society Walkathon was yesterday...
...(the one with Spike on the billboard) and it was fun! Anyone who knows me well must be very proud knowing that i was surrounded by a lot of very big dogs and i didn't pee my pants once! Just kidding - i love all the furry guys - even the ones who's mouths were as big as my head! Some of the dogs weighed around 150 pounds each. They all were having a grand old time sniffing and peeing and making new friends and all the other good doggie stuff . All my doggie lover friends would have been in doggie heaven! I kept searching for the cat peeps but that probably wasn't a good time for them to show up - they were there in spirit. I did see one little farm cat on top of a hill - it was crouched down and i think it thought it died and went straight to hell - it was definitely a day gone to the dogs - Spike would have LOVED it!- here's some pics...

Where i have a studio in the goggleWorks(.org) we have a yearly auction. We have to donate a piece of artwork to the cause that will help to generate money to keep this wonderful art building up and running. This is the piece i've donated...it's a large work of one of my tree series called "Harvest" because as you can see it's ready to drop a lot of fruit...
If you click on the link above it will take you to the page where all the artworks up for auction are listed - mine is all the way down at the bottom (alphabetically or did the save the best for last? haha! - ok, probably not but wishful thinking!). Anyway, this may be one way to help the art building stay alive and in the process get some good art cheap! All profits go directly to the Goggleworks - Thanks for looking and have a lovely day!

Landscape Mural in Calgary
Well, i had the fortunate experience to paint a mural for a patron/friend, Stacey Maddock, who lives in Calgary in Canada. She flew me out there and for five days i painted and painted - we had a wonderful time. The trip to Banff was especially great when the mural was finished. Here is a WIP of the mural...

Something New - Earrings
i haven't posted in a while - to tell the truth i'm a little overwhelmed with projects and the girls being home from school this summer - it's been fun but crazy! anyway, i've been playing with shrinky dinks - i've been printing images of my paintings on them and making earrings, key rings and zipper pulls...they are becoming quite popular! i love doing it - sitting in front of the stove and watching them shrink - just like when i was a kid - fun fun fun!
