"...what if this hole never got any better? If the raw edges never healed?....i was changed..." - poor Bella - thank heavens for books 3 and 4 hee hee...
Illustration Friday's word this week is "Subtract"
Great illustration of the topic. Beautiful line work too. (And don't get me started on Twighlight--Ick! There's still a hole in my brain from reading it.)
I love the painting, but have no patience for Bella and her teenaged overdramatization. Tee hee, indeed!
Thinking bback to when I was in my late teens and early twenties and had feelings somewhat like Bella, it never felt as "clean" as this though. The emptiness, definitely, but the edges were much more ragged (and bloody!).
Looking at this again, I notice now that her HEART is indeed all torn and ragged, and this whole picture is striking me as a whole lot more painful than it did the last time I looked at it. It's giving me a kind of empty feeling inside (just like the emptiness in her middle....
well, subtract surely associates with a "negative" :)
ReplyDeletei hope the edges heal! have a great weekend
