Illustration Friday - Contained

The portraits Klimt did of his lover, Adele, looked like he had her wrapped up and flattened in gold, contained (?) by circles and squares. i tried to get that same feel with my girl.

nice illustration. I like how the patternation in the background, the oval and the dress all although different compliment one another.

Wrapped up and flattened? I don't know about that - sounds painful. But I do like your painting!!

Oh I love the linework in her hair. And the contrast with the bolder lines of the background. It doesn't seem like it should work spacially, but it really does.

Oh, Adrienne! I love Klimt too, almost as much as I love Mucha. It's so good to have found your blog, every time I come here I feel so inspired!
